Heat Transfer Rate of Immersion Heaters is Pretty High

Immersion heaters as the name suggests are electric unit that generates heat in the liquid in which it is immersed by dissipating heat as electrical energy is converted into heat energy. The liquid in question could be any liquid like water, oil, chemicals, etc. In some cases they are also used to stabilize gas within their tanks. Heat transfer rate of these heaters is also very high as the heater transfers its entire heat to the liquid in which it is immersed. These heaters find usage in a wide variety of industrial set ups where they are used to build pressure in storage containers, during processing of pipe and in tanks storing liquids among others.

An important feature of these types of heaters is their unusual sturdiness which enables them to work efficiently even under severe working environment. This enhances their utility to a significant extent as you can use them with both alkaline solutions and pure water. There are quite a few variety of industrial heater like over the side heaters, flanged heaters, etc where in when we talk about industrial heaters we find there are quite a few varieties available here as well.

Industrial heaters as the name suggest find widespread usage and application in a wide variety of industries operating in sectors like plastic, food processing, oil and gas and chemical industry among others for specific processes. There are basically five types of such heaters like Circulation heaters, pipe heaters, Cartridge heaters, Duct heaters, etc.

Equipment or applications that need to generate higher amount of heat require, cores form an essential part of the heating elements. These cores are generally made from either NiChrome, a high-resistance 80% nickel 20% chromium compound, or from a Positive Thermal Coefficient ceramic, a highly heat resistant barium titanate/lead titanate composite.
